A message from Iris:

On Sunday August 29th we are taking "Sung Evensong " to Nykirken . The service will begin at 7:30pm and will be followed by tea and coffee. We need as many people as possible to join us to make this a special service, as we have not done this before. There will be two practices for the sung Liturgy ...Wednesday at 7:00pm and Friday 5:00pm both in the church. We do ask that as many as possible come to help as it would be such a shame if we went to Nykirken with only a handful of people. I am taking the service and would appreciate all the support I can get for this new venture. Hope to see you all there.

Sunday 12th Sept Harvest festival service at 11.00am Fjell Kultureskole followed by a bring and share lunch and actvities after.
Directions:
by car. take the road to Sotra, after the bridge take the first left and follow the road curving to the left, Just before you go under the bridge turn off on the right onto a small track and follow it under the bridge. ( If you miss the turning and reach the tunnel go back!) past the bridge the track turns right and then you come to a turning left with a sign SKOLE. take that turning and head up the winding road until you reach the school.

Notice that there is no service at Engensenter that day.

If you would like to be on the rota for readers at Sunday services, can help with counting the collection after the service, are willing to bring flowers, prepare the coffee after the service, give a meal or offer overnight accomodations to the clergy please let us know. Every bit of help counts!
